Our morning meeting on Sundays begins at 10.45am. The meeting is quite informal, and you can expect to see around 50 people of a wide range of ages.
The meeting will be led by a member of the fellowship. We sing a mixture of new and older worship songs and hymns accompanied by a pianist. Song words are displayed on a screen but song books are also available if you prefer.
For the first 40min adults and children worship all together. We try to make this first part of the service simple enough that even the young children can join in. We recognise that children will sometimes make a noise so please don’t worry if your children do so.
A collection of money is made during the service but, as a visitor, please do not feel under any pressure to contribute. Sometimes the meeting will include communion. Some parents encourage their children to take the bread and (non-alcoholic) wine. Other families wait until the children are older. Communion is an opportunity to express our ongoing trust in the death and resurrection of Jesus. If you are a committed Christian, no matter, which church you normally attend, you are welcome to share the bread and wine, which are passed around the congregation. If you are not certain whether this applies to you, please do not be embarrassed to allow the bread and wine to pass you by. You are still welcome to join us in the communion service and use the time for quiet reflection.
After the children leave, the adults usually spend some time praying. This may be led from the front or the leader may invite members of the congregation to pray out loud. Again please do not feel under pressure, most people will pray silently and simply join in by saying “amen”.
There will then be a talk from the bible lasting around 30min. This will be given either by one of the elders (church leaders), another member of the fellowship, or a visiting speaker. We usually use the NIV translation of the bible and copies are available if you wish to follow.
The meeting finishes by 12:15pm. After the service please stay for a cup of tea or coffee and an opportunity to meet some of us.
On the first Sunday of each month we stay after the service to enjoy lunch together. You are very welcome to stay for lunch. We do not make any charge. Lunch is usually finished by around 1:30pm.
After lunch we sometimes hold a meeting to hear from a visiting Christian worker. This lasts for around an hour. Again, you are welcome to stay but please feel free to leave after lunch if you need too.
Our evening meeting on Sundays begins at 6.30pm and is usually finished by 7.30pm. The meeting is quite informal and intimate. You can expect to find a gathering of 10 to 20 people.
Note that there is no evening meeting on the first Sunday of each month.

The meeting often includes a period of “open worship” when the leader sits down and allows members of the congregation to lead worship by suggesting a song, leading a prayer or commenting on a bible passage related to the talk you have heard. Please do not feel under any pressure to say anything during this time, though of course you are welcome to do so. You are welcome to join in simply by listening to the contributions made by others.
