Welcome

Welcome to Granville Street Church. We are a friendly, family church, based in the heart of Aylesbury. Our aim is to follow Jesus and to grow together to love him more and to become more like him. We meet to praise God for his wonderful gift, to hear him speak to us from the bible, to pray to him and to encourage one another. Our meetings are informal and open to everyone of any age, background or belief. We'd love to meet you.

We are an evangelical church - we believe that the bible is God's word for today, that he offers new life to everyone and that each person must accept this gift for themselves.

What makes us different?

We share all our central beliefs with other Christians and we enjoy being connected with other churches, but these are some of the values we especially try to put into practice.

Every member ministry. God has given all of us gifts by his Spirit. We encourage everyone to get involved and to find the way they can serve God.

Team leadership. The different gifts God has given are all needed and are designed to work togther, including amongst our leaders.

The Bible. The Bible is our final authority and we believe God uses his words to change us, so Bible teaching has a central place in our life together.

The Lord's Supper or communion. This is a special time to remember Jesus' gift together and to meet with him, so we try to celebrate regularly.

Mission. The message of Jesus is good news for everyone, and so we actively support Christian workers both in our own local community and around the world.
