We do not have a single 'pastor' - this role is carried out jointly by a team of elders. They have responsibility for the spiritual life of the church, overseeing the teaching and pastoral care and helping to set the vision and direction.
David Wall
David is involved in pastoral care, preaching and leading the church forwards. He has a heart to see the church grow and adapt and for more people to discover the love of Jesus. A former director in the pharmaceutical industry, he is now retired. David is married to Susan and they have grown up children and several grandchildren.
Philip Richardson
Philip oversees our Sunday preaching programme and loves to see God changing lives through the Bible. A mathematician by background, he works as a data analyst in consumer research. Philip is married to Janet and they have two sons. He recently completed a theology course through Moorlands College, and is a board member of Partnership. He loves to relax by walking in the Chilterns.
The deacons from part of the leadership team along with the elders. They serve by managing many aspects of church life and carrying out a wide variety of practical tasks.
Alison Watkins
Alison studied French, German and Latin at university, but ended up teaching the piano! She has done this for many years, and plays the piano at the church. She has a deep pastoral concern and is involved in a number of activities within the church and outside. She is married to David, who is a retired church elder.
Janice Carpenter
Janice helps with all kinds of organisation in the church and is our health and safety specialist. Originally from Orkney, she has live in Aylesbury for many years. She is married to Paul and they have two grown up Children. Janice works for the NHS and has held a number of roles at the local hospital.
Paul Carpenter
Paul serves as our church treasurer and also helps in various ways with our church building and equipment. He is married to Janice and is a former ambulance driver and school IT coordinator. He is also a trustee of Aylesbury Vale Youth for Christ.
